We believe in representing America by relying on the strength of the player rather than the army he is shuffling around the table. We look forward to meeting players from around the world and playing the game that has become an international phenomenon: Warhammer 40k.

And the 2014 team is....

It has truly been a wild ride in the wild card spot. We have officially determined the winner of the last slot on the 2014 ETC team.

Team America would like to formally congratulate Alan Bajramovic as the Wild Card winner of the 2014 ETC team. Alan narrowly edged out Nick Rose with a stellar performance at the Da Boyz GT. Alan had to over come one former and two current ETC team members (Mike Mutscheller, Brad Chester and Nick Nanavati) along with the Assistant Coach (Brandon Vallee) to achieve this feat. Congratulations once again Alan on earning that spot!

Therefore, we are proud to introduce our 2014 USA ETC Team:

Greg Sparks (Captain)
Brad Chester (Returning Veteran)
Tony Kopach (Returning Veteran)
Andrew Gonyo (Returning Veteran)
Nick Nanavati (Adepticon 2013 Winner)
Ben Mohlie (Wargamescon 2013 Winner)
Justin Cook (NOVA Open 2013 Winner)
Alan Bajramovic (2013 Wildcard Winner)
Brandon Vallee (Assistant Coach)

If you are interested in meeting the members of Team America, we will be at AdeptiCon 2014 en mass this year. Various members of Team America will be teaching the AdeptiCon Tactics courses on Wednesday night before the event. Interested in attending these seminars, you can register at http://www.adepticon.org/. Otherwise be sure to stop by afterwards and introduce yourself.

Finally, qualification criteria for the 2015 team will released within the next month along with hopefully who will be our non playing coach. So start preparing for 2015 because as ever, it will be intense!

Feast Of Blades - Alan Bajramovic

I will start off by saying I am not the best writer so I will be as descriptive as possible but straight to the point at the same time.

Feast of Blades is a class A run tournament and the staff (except for the video game guy) are awesome. I think they have a good event growing and they have a lot of room to make it even better.

THE BET - Space Marines

Hello Everyone,

We have a BET, which requires your votes via the Team America 40K forums. We placed a set of five army lists on the forums under the Everything Else subject heading. The main thread is labeled THE BET. Forum participants are asked to rank the army lists in order of best to worst using the respective Army Titles. Submit your votes via the forums under Vote Submissions. An example vote submission will be provided.

The criteria to be met will include:

1. Using the new SM codex as a primary detachment.
2. Points 1850
3. Design considerations for ETC as a primary defender.
4. Assume all supplements are available for this contest.
5. Fortifications are limited to the Aegis Defence Line, Bastion, and Sky Shield Landing Platform.

Obviously, there are a lot of things that may change between now and the ETC with the codex release schedule. This is based on the best possible option for available at this time.

The winner of THE BET will have the losers buy the winner a dinner at the first team practice. Participants in THE BET will be Alan Bajramovic, Andrew Gonyo, Ben Mohlie, Brad Chester and Greg Sparks. The order of the lists will be randomized and only designated by the army title. Results will be posted on the Team America forums, our blog and Facebook page by Wednesday, September 18, 2013.

Army lists are posted. Please see the VOTE HERE thread for casting your votes. You can review the army lists and cast your votes at the following link.

The voting thread will be closed on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 12:00 PM EST.

For those who wish to register, please send your registration username, full name and contact phone number at teamamerica40k@gmail.com. The phone number is to assist in validating you are a US citizen and not an evil spy...

Have fun and if you feel like it, rip 'em to shreds.

40k's Top Dog and Team America 2014

There has always been a codex on the scene that is considered the top dog. Blood Angels in 3rd, Eldar, Necrons, and Chaos in 4th, Grey Knights in 5th, and the birth of Tau Eldar in 6th.

Anyone can look at the data from the Torrent of Fire gathered at the Nova Tournament and its clear there is a favorite army out on the competitive scene.

Electronic Table Pairings At Adepticon 2013

If you have ever been to a major GT before, you know that when the table pairings are assigned in between rounds it is complete chaos.  People fighting for the first chance to read who is going where and who they will be facing.  Adepticon is no different.  In fact it is worse do to the size of the event.  I hate the table finding process due to this mad rush.  Anything to alleviate this problem will be a godsend in my book.

Well it appears that my demands have been answered!  Adepticon is going to be using technology in order to solve this problem.  Instead of posting sheets and having everyone swarm to them like locust, they are going to send table pairings to your cell phone via text message and/or e-mail.   How cool is that!  If I am not mistaken, they are the first event to use technology in order to solve this problem.  Assuming it goes off without a hitch, I could see it being utilized at all major GTs within the year.

So how does it work?

Adepticon almost here

With Adepticon right around the corner what are you excited for?

I have heard opinions across the spectrum with people that hate displays and feel like they are a complete waste of time and there are some that just love them. I am defiantly someone that loves to make a kick ass display and there is something that happens to a group of guys that work on a project together. Its something that is similar in sports and team video games. This group work creates a team bond, which is a dangerous thing to get in front of. Thats the bond I want my team to have come the big day of the team event at Adepticon. It is by far one of the most prestigious events to win in the states in my opinion and I have said many times that it is something I plan to accomplish before I die.
